My final race of the year. The highlight of the year. That was what I was hoping for, by atlast it was not to be. My hope was to qualify for GB Age Group, however, a poor swim and a poor run didn’t help. I came into the race with my achillies injury and this held me back. I was satisfied with the cycle stage but was annoyed by lots of drafting going on during the race, I felt that I would only be cheating myself and decided not to draft. However, it is sole destroying to see packs of riders passing with little effort used. The weather was fab, the course was fab but lots of athletes did not comply to the rules.
