Humm. What was I thinking. First, I went out and got a MTB Bike as training was becoming a pain on the turbo and I wanted some time outside. But as the weather is non permitting due to Ice it is time to try out some off roading. I decided on a mountain hardtail bike to ensure I get the most out of training. The owner of trisports Mic was very helpfull and recommended several different bikes in my budget range. I ended up getting the Trek 6300 in Matte Root Beer and I pick it up on Saturday 6 Feb 2010. The service at Trisports is brilliant as I only ordered it 2 days ago and they’ve already built it ready for my collection, I can not recommend them highly enough.
As I was in Ruthin in 2 weeks time I did my usual search for events and found the Fearless MTB Duathlon. It is in Llandegla Forest, Ruthin on the 14th of Feb 2010. It consist of 2 x 5km runs and a 20km MTB course. That could be the issue and I’m sure I’ll not be the best but it’s all about the experience. I’m personally looking forward to the post race where there’s bacon butties – Yummy!!!
