It’s getting close now till the ride. So this weekend I was in Cardiff for the weekend and decided to cycle to Brecon Beacons for a test on some hills. I’ve decided to use a mixture of products to help energise me for the Cycle ride of the Lon Las. I first started using a Energy Drink called PSP22 Energy from Sports In Science (SIS). This is apparently according to the literature a complex carbohydrate energy fuel for high-energy performance. I’ve opted for the orange flavour drink.

I managed to get this ride from a friend that participated in the CTC Stevenage Cycle in 2008. The route starts at Fairlands Valley in Stevenage. However, I started from my home in Great Ashby, Stevenage. The ride wasn’t as hard as I expected and I completed 75 miles (I rounded up) in about 5hrs.
